Business Continuity Service Information  – Updated 7/9/2020

Mailing and Material Management Services (MMMS) is still providing delivery services to mail codes in accessible buildings. Departments have the option of requesting that MMMS hold mail for pick up or for delivery after the university resumes normal operations. To request these options, department mail coordinators should respond to the MMMS survey distributed via email on March 16 and 20. Scheduled package deliveries should be rescheduled or re-routed to MMMS at 3434 S Hope St, Los Angeles, CA 90089-7777 (please email MMMS with the carrier, tracking number and all other relevant information).

We will continue to update this information to keep you informed of any changes.

The Mail Stop – Closed until university resumes normal operation.
Please contact us at mailstop@usc.edu with any questions.

Gas Cylinders – Until the USC campus resumes normal business operations, we will be delivering compressed gases only on Monday, Wednesday and Friday by appointment. We can no longer make automatic deliveries due to the lack of access to public buildings.  Once your order has been placed, you will be contacted with options for your delivery date/drop off time.
Please contact us at mmsorder@usc.edu with any questions.

Surplus Store

Surplus Sales has curtailed its regular business operations for the next year and partnered with Facilities Management Services (FMS) in the efficient disposition of surplus items. Changes to the Surplus Sales procedures are in immediate effect until Surplus Sales resumes regular business operations.  Please visit the Surplus Sales website for more information.

US Postal Service

The US Postal Service (USPS) is not currently “experiencing operational impacts” because of the coronavirus pandemic.

However, the USPS enforced a temporary suspension of the guarantee on Priority Mail Express International destined for China and Hong Kong “due to widespread airline cancellations and restrictions into this area.”

FedEx

FedEx is continuing to deliver packages.   They will not require you to physically sign for most deliveries.

Customers living in regions severely impacted by the coronavirus may experience delays.

Customers can visit fedex.com or tnt.com to check the status of their shipments.

UPS

UPS is continuing to deliver packages. Countries which have declared a state of public health emergency may see potential delays in services.

UPS has also resumed services for the majority of China Mainland except Wuhan City.

Amazon

Amazon is continuing to deliver packages. As the spread of coronavirus increases worldwide, the company has seen an increase in people shopping online which has resulted in “longer than usual” delivery promises.
